We are very excited to announce our new show: The Wizard of Oz – Dual Language Edition. We are taking our very popular show: OZ and are making it a new multicultural show that will include both English and Spanish dialogue.
While the show is ‘still in development’ some changes include:
- Dorothy is now Dorotea; the lion is now El León; Aunt Em is Tía Em
- Dorotea is from Mexico City, not New York City (as in ‘Oz’)
- Dorotea and her mother speak a significant amount of Spanish with each other which can easily be understood by the audience
- Spanish language is used throughout the show where much of the dialogue uses Spanish words and phrases along with English words.
More information will be available soon!
